The voice of Banbury business

  • About Us

What is the Banbury & District Chamber of Commerce?

The Banbury Chamber of Commerce is the recognised voice of the Banbury business community, working with businesses and providing support, information, advocacy and networking opportunities.

Supporting the local business community

Our primary aim is to improve the local economic environment whilst sustaining quality of life within the community. We bring businesses together, working with business and local government to promote improved infrastructure and transportation, education and skills training, encouraging appropriate development, a vibrant town centre and well maintained industrial estates. The Chamber is actively involved with the local Councils, is a Consultee in many planning matters and has recently been instrumental in the creation of the newly formed Business Improvement District in Banbury town centre.

Showcasing business in Banbury

We hold frequent business events to showcase local businesses and provide networking opportunities, often introducing speakers on topics of business and/or local interest. The Chamber celebrates local business performance, by supporting Cherwell Business Awards and Banbury Women in Business. We also host several ‘social’ events during the year, such as our Annual Golf Day in April and a Quiz Evening whch follows our AGM each June. The Chamber keeps its membership up to date through e-bulletins and posts to this website.

Working together for success

The Chamber is a professional and friendly group of business people who represent businesses of all sizes and from all sectors in the Banbury area. Please ask us about becoming a member.

Meet the people behind BCOC

The Chamber is managed by a voluntary elected Board, which meets monthly to agree appropriate areas of focus. Jointly, we are responsible for managing events and administrative aspects of the Chamber’s activities. We are always keen to hear from Banbury based business owners/senior managers who would be interested in becoming a director.
